The Seasonal General Laborer is a vital part of the Tropicana team! This role is responsible for a variety of duties as needed by the various teams during the production period. Some of the responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining the fruit receiving areas including the decks, bins, trash chutes, de-stemmer, & the pit area beneath the decks. This clean-up process requires the use of a broom, rake, shovel, and a high-pressure water hose to clean and maintain area effectively. The weight load of debris that is shoveled is at the discretion of the worker. Candidates must demonstrate compliance with all safety, GMP, and work rules at all times.

As a seasonal employee with Tropicana, you will be eligible for all the benefits of a regular employee, and you will have recall status the next season. You will be eligible for unemployment during your layoff and will have the opportunity for 3 months of benefits (Medical, Dental and Vision) when the layoff occurs. Additionally, you will be eligible to sign bids during layoff for job openings in the plant!

Seasonal Tropicana Laborer Requirements:

Must be 18+ years of age
Must have High School Diploma OR GED
Willing/Able to pass drug test & background check
Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in English
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Must be able to work on high platforms
Candidates must demonstrate compliance with all safety, GMP, and work rules at all times
Ability to use proper techniques in shoveling, raking, & using the pitchfork while picking up fruit and/or debris
