CUSTODIANS for our locations in Hinds County, MS.

The Custodian is responsible for the daily house keeping and cleaning of the entire Head Start Center both indoors and outdoors, as well as continual campus monitoring and security. • Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming, as required.
• Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms on a continuous basis each day.
• Spreads ice melt on stairs, ramps, porches, and sidewalks, as warranted.
• Makes minor repairs (changing bulbs, switch plates, outlet covers, tighten screws, toilet seats, and minor plumbing repairs).
• Monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
• Continual observation of campus while carrying out custodial duties and reporting of any suspicous activity that could pose a danger to children or employees
• Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in custodial services   
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent 
• Meet state health requirements

• Pass Criminal Background and Child Abuse Central Registry Check
