Electromechanic Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, startup and validation of the Dailies contact lens production equipment
  • Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance to the Dailies production equipment
  • Minimize production downtime and improve yield and quality
  • Assist with the training and development of Maintenance Technicians/Electromechanics and production personnel
  • Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance for all production equipment including technical problems in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical and control systems
  • Assist with improvements to the maintenance systems (preventative, corrective, predictive and spare parts)
  • Assist with technical projects for process upgrades and improvements. Assist with revising or writing SOP’s
  • Deliver training material to other Maintenance Technicians/Electromechanics for equipment, maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Optimize manufacturing equipment and process to provide sustainable gains in product quality, output, yield and cost reduction

 

Manufacturing Associate Job Responsibilities

  • Competency in addressing day technical process issues, working in a team environment, focusing on improving the technical competency of all members of the team, ensuring the necessary quality decisions required to produce the highest quality product within a targeted cost are consistent
  • Work with equipment and machinery-setting-up, adjusting, examining, and operating machines
  • Perform Troubleshooting and maintenance on Highly Automated Equipment to include Preventative Maintenance and Basic (low voltage) Electrical/Mechanical repairs
  • Actively participate in high performance manufacturing teams to address day-to-day technical process issues focusing on improving the technical competency of all members of the team
  • Evaluate, analyze, and interpret data to make effective decisions utilizing the standard work format
  • Monitor equipment for safe performance and address any unsafe acts or conditions in a timely manner
  • Perform with team, direct operations pertaining to area of responsibility

 

Production Technician Job Responsibilities

 

  • Participate in all aspects of production processes including but not limited to loading raw materials, operating manufacturing lines, operating secondary packaging equipment, inspecting lenses, performing lot changes, improving yields, using calibrated measurement equipment, troubleshooting and using support equipment such as sterilizers and tool drums
  • Interact closely with other production technicians and Electromechanics to identify, communicate and perform corrective actions for lens inspection/packaging defects as necessary
  • Perform minor equipment repairs and adjustments
  • Mold Related Inspections and conduct maintenance and 5s duties
  • Coordinate downtime to ensure efficient use for maintenance, corrective actions, and cleaning
  • Ensure that the daily process performance target is reached
  • Be proficient in computer use and enter data into MES and SAP databases
  • Work closely with engineers to perform validations as needed
  • Ensure the production, inspections and secondary packaging of Alcon products are accomplished per SOP and quality standard, while meeting the production plan
  • Actively participate in natural work groups to address day-to-day business activities, safety, quality, and training needs

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be able to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 2 years technical degree or equivalent manufacturing experience (for Manufacturing Associate)
  • Must pass the Manufacturing Associate Assessment (for Manufacturing Associate)
  • Technical Degree preferred (for Electromechanic role)
