Presidio is hiring a Junior Network Technician for their Georgetown County, SC location.

Presidio is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Field Technician to support a healthcare client to replace aging switches. This role is ideal for candidates beginning their careers in networking and IT support who are eager to gain hands-on experience with Cisco Systems hardware and enterprise network environments.

The technician will assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure equipment at client sites / facilities. This position provides excellent growth opportunities within networking and infrastructure support. 

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support Cisco networking equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls
• Assist with deployment of LAN/WAN infrastructure
• Perform hardware upgrades, cable management, and rack/stack installations
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues and escalate complex problems as needed
• Support wireless access point installations and basic configuration
• Conduct site surveys and document network environments
• Maintain accurate service tickets and documentation
• Provide professional on-site customer support
• Follow safety and security protocols during field visits 

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
• Familiarity with Cisco devices and command-line interface (CLI)
• Knowledge of network cabling standards (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills 

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or currently pursuing
• CompTIA Network+ certification
• Internship or lab experience with enterprise networking equipment

Duration: 12-month contract with possible extensions
