Presidio is seeking a Network Engineer to support our manufacturing client located in Apex, NC. This is a hybrid work schedule.

• Install, maintain, and support network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems)
• Design and implement secure network solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, often under tight deadlines
• Manage network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and incident response
• Protect systems from unauthorized access, changes, or data loss
• Develop and follow best practices for network administration and security
• Maintain accurate network documentation
• Monitor network performance and recommend improvements
• Lead network projects from planning through completion
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and meet goals

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience (10+ years may substitute)
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless)
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching (Layer 2 & Layer 3)
• Experience with VLANs, STP, QoS, and network redundancy protocols (HSRP, VRRP, etc.)
• Experience with routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP
• Familiarity with WAN technologies (MPLS, SD-WAN preferred)
• Experience with network security tools (ACLs, VPNs, firewalls)
• Exposure to Cisco technologies (switching, VoIP, wireless, and collaboration tools)
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds)
