Presidio is seeking a Power BI Developer for their client located in King of Prussia, PA. This is a Hybrid role.

We are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer & Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between data analytics and business strategy. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who not only excels in developing advanced Power BI dashboards but also understands end-to-end business processes and can articulate data-driven insights through compelling narratives and documentation.

You will play a critical role in shaping how data is consumed across the organization, translating complex analytics into actionable intelligence, guiding decision-makers, and enabling self-service Power BI adoption through high-quality documentation and training materials.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
• Optimize performance of Power BI solutions through efficient DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling techniques.
• Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL databases, cloud platforms, and APIs.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across all BI assets.
• Business Intelligence & Analysis
• Lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-level Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
• Partner with business units (Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing, etc.) to understand strategic goals and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities that drive business performance.
• Ensure data governance, quality, and consistency across all BI assets.
• Business Analysis
• Collaborate with business leaders to understand strategic goals and translate them into analytical requirements.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Develop and present business cases, KPIs, and performance metrics to support decision-making.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment and clarity.
• Technical Writing & Communication
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for BI solutions, including:
• Data models, ETL processes, and DAX logic.
• User manuals, onboarding guides, and training materials.
• Executive summaries and business impact reports.
• Develop internal knowledge base articles and contribute to BI enablement initiatives.
• Translate technical concepts into business-friendly language for stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic & Cross-Functional Leadership
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Power BI and data storytelling within the organization.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of BI best practices.
• Collaborate with IT, data engineering, and business leaders to align BI initiatives with organizational strategy.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance BI capabilities.

Education and Experience

• 4 Year/bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field. 
• 3+ years of Power BI Development Experience
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Azure SQL Server, with hands-on experience in data modeling and schema design.
• Experience with Azure Big Data technologies, including Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Data Lake.
• Experience with design and implementation of robust data pipelines, ETL processes, and data architectures.
• Experience with data modeling and data quality assurance best practices.
• Experience delivering data mapping and accompanying documentation
• Familiarity with SSRS and Power BI, Python, R, Power Query is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• PowerBi and BA certifications are desirable but not required if the experience is evident.
